So get out those poker shades and lace up your dancing shoes – keep reading below for all you need to know about gaming and entertainment in North Lake Tahoe!
Casinos and Gaming
Due to North Lake Tahoe’s proximity to the state of Nevada, our Owners and Guests have easy access to a number of small and large casinos within a short driving distance. From simple slot machines to high stakes card games, there’s sure to be something for everyone in North Lake Tahoe.
Crystal Bay Casino
Located in the small community of Crystal Bay and just a short drive from our resort, the Crystal Bay Casino (CBC for short) is a local’s favorite for good vibes, great musical acts, and a relatively low-key gaming scene. In fact, this historical venue is often described as having a sort of cozy and unique feel to it, making it a great way to spend a weekend-night out. With ample slot machines, craps, roulette, and black jack, this would be a great venue for a larger group!
Grand Lodge Casino
Located in the town of Incline Village, the Grand Lodge Casino at the Hyatt Regency is a larger, more upscale gaming venue. Here you can find a surplus of table games and even a sports book with numerous flat screen tv’s to catch the big game! While there is no on-site entertainment venue like the Crystal Bay Casino, the Grand Lodge Casino would be perfect for a more high-end night out, especially if you plan on dining at the renowned Lone Eagle Grille!
Entertainment
If you are hoping to catch some great live music while visiting North Lake Tahoe, you’re in luck! The region is home to a number of smaller entertainment venues which are even known for booking some well-known and big name acts.
For year round shows and entertainment, the Crystal Bay Casino has a unique and intimate venue that is great for getting up-close to a wide array of musical and comedic acts. Located in the historic Crown Room, this venue is hailed for having amazing sound quality and a lively atmosphere. There’s even the smaller Red Room, which frequently books great after-hours shows to keep the party going long into the night!
If you’re looking for close-by entertainment, both Tahoe City and Truckee often feature smaller shows from regional artists at Moe’s Original BBQ and Moody’s Bistro Bar and Beats. Both options have convenient downtown locations and would be a great choice for those who might not want to venture to the Nevada side of the border.
Last but not least, Palisades Tahoe often hosts a number of musical acts throughout the year. From the famed WinterWondergrass Festival to weekly live music in The Village, this is an excellent option for entertainment after a day on the slopes!
Reno And South Lake Tahoe
While many prefer the quieter and more convenient gaming and entertainment in North Lake Tahoe, it is also worth mentioning the option to venture to the larger entertainment venues and casinos located in both Reno and South Lake Tahoe. While both towns are a little over an hour from our resort, these locations are great for catching big name acts. Be sure to check out the offerings and perhaps plan a day trip on your next visit.
